Safety First

We take seriously our responsibility to care for our thousands of team members, guests, and the community by delivering a great guest experience all season long. Like any responsible company, we have plans in place to safely operate the mountain regardless of the union's action. We will continue to ensure we have the necessary personnel trained and available for mountain operations.

We are committed to the highest standard of safety every day at Park City Mountain.
As we welcome guests to the largest ski area in the United States, putting safety first means managing our base areas and open terrain based on our assessment of conditions and responding to guest needs in a timely manner.
In our operating plan, we station experienced ski patrollers,  Outdoor Emergency Care (OEC)-certified team members, and mountain safety team members across the mountain. In addition, we have two on-site clinics with medically certified staff.
All our team members working at the resort are tasked with safety responsibilities and can aid guests if needed. These team members are the building blocks of our commitment to safety at Park City Mountain, and we are grateful for their expertise and hard work.

Patrol Support Team

Park City Mountain will remain open with safety as our top priority.

If necessary, the resort will deploy the Patrol Support Team which consists of experienced patrollers from Park City Mountain and our other mountain resorts. We are proud of this team's deep skills, knowledge, and professionalism. They have developed these skills over many years – in some cases, decades – of patrol experience and certifications.

Patrol Support Team members are provided with training and resources to specialize in the terrain area they are assigned. All open terrain, as well as our two on-site clinics, are staffed with experienced patrol leaders and medically certified team members.

Safety is always our number one priority, and we will manage terrain carefully, open terrain based on safety assessments, and respond to guest needs.
